After the recent world premiere in 1977 annual Geneva International Motor Show, Saab BioPower 100 concept car is going to the U.S. shores of the North American debut at the upcoming 2007 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), which takes place in the Javits Convention Center at the beginning of April this year. Saab BioPower 100 features the first production-based turbo engine built to operate purely bio-ethanol fuel. Bioethanol is market access for E85 fuel and we look forward to seeing more supply infrastructure developments that make it more widely available in the future." Driving E100, Saab BioPower 100 concept gives maximum power of 300 hp 5800 rpm and peak torque of 295 lb-ft .. rotation of the engine speeds 3000 and 5100 rpm. The engine has one manual gearbox and clutch quality components, such as pressure dishes, such as VW pressure plate VW Phaeton found one of the Saab 9-5 model car segment competitors. Compared to conventional gasoline engines installed in the Saab 9-5, Saab BioPower 100 Concept offers more power and torque thanks to Saab's turbo-charging technology provides greater combustion efficiency. "Despite the growing need to reduce energy consumption, we are exploring ways to use smaller engines that give relatively high power, and without hybrid technology. Bioethanol can play a key role in the correct size of the process, but also to reduce fossil fuel emissions." He added.
